Core Correctional Practices examine the link between staff attitudes, techniques, language, and culture and how this communication style promotes offender behavior change. During this highly interactive training session, strategies for developing and maintaining positive relationship and rapport, which is the foundation of all CCP skills, will be taught, modeled and practiced. The skill steps for Effective Use of Reinforcement, Disapproval, Punishment, and Authority will be taught and modeled. Participants will have an opportunity to practice and receive feedback on the use of these skills.
This session is appropriate for community corrections, criminal justice and behavioral health professionals who are interested in learning more about effective interventions with the community corrections and criminal-justice involved populations.
